Sonja Johnson “A Winter's Tale” 2023 Entry

The Bingham arts Juried Art Show is an annual art competition, and exhibition open to all artists 18 years and older. Artistic Media Included: oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, pen & ink, colored pencil, multimedia, sculpture, fiber art, and glass. Spectators are welcome to the exhibition. At the opening of the exhibition, the public can view and talk with the artists, and purchase these unique artworks during the Exhibition at the Candy Jar Art Gallery, 105 NW Main Street, Blackfoot, Idaho.

August 19th – September 21st, 2024

  • Submit images of entries online at: binghamarts.org

September 30th, 2024

  • Notification of Acceptance by the jury will be emailed to the artists

October. 10th- 11th, 2024

  • Delivery of accepted artwork to Candy Jar Gallery, 105 NW Main Street, Blackfoot, Idaho

October 12th, 2024, 6:30 pm – 8pm

  • Opening Reception and Awards announced

October 11th – November 16th, 2024

  • Exhibition is on view to the public during store hours

November 15th and 16th, 2024

  • Artwork must be picked up at Candy Jar Gallery, 105 NW Main Street, Blackfoot, Idaho
• Artistic Media Included: watercolor, pen & ink, colored pencil, pastels, oils, acrylic, multimedia, sculpture, fiber art, and glass.
• Open to all artists 18 years and older, but entries will not be separated by age or skill for judging. Work must be original creation and composition of the artist submitting it.
• ENTRY FEE: $25 for first entry, $30 for two entries (non-refundable). There is a limit of 2 entries per person.
• Payments will be made online at: binghamarts.org
• Entries must be no larger than 35” in any direction (including frame).*
• All artworks must be suitably framed. Works must be ready to hang with wires attached. No sawtooth, other hanging brackets or frame clips will be allowed. Unproperly framed or damaged frames may be disqualified for display.
• Due to limited space, entry does not guarantee inclusion.
• Sale money will be distributed at time of pick up, a 35% of COMMISSION FEE with be charged by the Candy Jar store.
• The first place winner is ineligible for cash prizes the following year.

 

*Some artwork larger than 35″ may be accepted. Sculpture for example does not take up wall space. If you have a piece larger than 35″ please contact binghamarts@gmail.com before you submit.

Jenedy Paige

Jenedy Paige is a multi-talented artist and athlete known for her prowess in both the world of professional oil painting and American Ninja Warrior. With an impressive 18-year career in the art world, Jenedy has made a name for herself as a gifted oil painter specializing in spiritual themes. Jenedy Paige obtained a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2006. She has since studied privately with Casey Baugh, David Kassan, Robert Liberace, Casey Childs, and William Whitaker. She has shown her work at the Springville Museum of Art, the Church History Museum, Meyer Gallery, the Salmugundi Club, and Illume Gallery. She won a national painting competition sponsored by Michael’s and has exhibited her work with Oil Painters of America both regionally and nationally. Jenedy draws upon challenges in her life to create themes for her art. She puts her whole heart into her painting, and expects others to bring their experience to her work as well, allowing for a beautiful connection to happen across the canvas between viewer and creator.
